We All Have One Thing In Common!!! Can You Guess What It Is?

"Seek First" is a platform inspired from Matthew 6:33 where we are encouraged to Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, live righteously, and everything we need will be given to us.

Our objective is to show you the practicality of this verse and hopefully inspire you to seek Him first daily. We use the S.O.A.P model as a study guide to help fulfill this mandate. We pick different scriptures and try to figure out how we can apply them to our daily lives, how they relate to the Kingdom of God and how we can live righteously through them. (S)cripture:

Ecclesiastes 9:11(NLT) "I have noticed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time"

(O)bservation:

If you are into investments, one of the most influential and respected leaders in that industry right now is a man named Ray Dalio. He runs one of the largest hedge funds in the world, he is worth $17bn and you need to be worth at least $5bn for him to even accept your money. If you are looking for advise on how to multiply your wealth through the stock market, this mans advise would be very key and many people like Tony Robbins can testify to that.

The Bible describes a King named Solomon as the wisest man to ever live until Jesus. A man much wiser than Ray Dalio, whose advise has spanned generations. He wrote the book of Ecclesiastes and shared his observations when he said, the fastest runners don't always win the race, the strongest warriors don't always win the battle, the wisest amongst us sometimes are poor, the fact that you are skillful really doesn't mean you'll make money and your education doesn't automatically guarantee success. If the verse had stopped here, it would have been very discouraging BUT he gives us something to hold on to at the end, the NIV version says "...but time and chance happen to them all."

In other words, we all have something in common regardless of our backgrounds or status. Bill Gates dropped out of school and became the richest man in the world, he wasn't the most educated. The fastest man in the world today is Usain Bolt, but there is probably someone faster somewhere else in the world wearing a suit and tie, behind the desk in a bank.

CHANCE is the difference maker in this world. Our ability to see opportunities and take hold of them. Joseph was in prison with his skill of administration & his gift of interpreting dreams, but CHANCE brought him to the palace.

What opportunities have been knocking at your door every single day that you haven't been able to take hold of? They come in disguised packages, you walk into an office and stay quiet till you leave, you don't interact with anyone...CHANCE could have been waiting to speak to you but you kept quiet. You may be related to someone who sees CHANCE everyday at work, but you haven't shared that business idea with them yet.

(A)pplication:

- Treat people like they were Jesus Christ Himself

1 John 4:20-21 (MSG)" If anyone boasts, I love God, and goes right on hating his brother and sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won't love this person he can see, how can he love the God he can't see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You've got to love both"

- Do something that makes you leave your comfort zone everyday. Yesterday i went to service my car and i am usually quiet when i am in new environments, but i decided to talk with some of the management staff there (can you imagine, the staff at Hyundai don't know what their logo means? 😦 click here to find out), a customer came in afterwards and i eventually introduced myself, we got talking and i shared my blog with her. That's another visitor that could potentially have CHANCE as a friend...while on the topic, please kindly share posts you feel led to, social media links are just below, i have a funny feeling one of you might related to CHANCE 😊, one share from CHANCE can literally push these articles to the world, so that more lives can be changed.

- Finally, a practical example that happened just last week. A popular platform asked if i would MC an event they were having, and for a second i was scared, i had never done this before, but i remembered a promise i had made myself at the beginning of the year to say YES to every opportunity that involved speaking and writing without thinking about it, so a few seconds later, i just replied YES. I met some amazing people, but after the event, one of the speakers walked up to me and said "you did a good job, you are a natural", i was shocked, it was my first time, but then she said, you were so good i would consider using you for my conferences 😲

Guess what? CHANCE was in the room that day, and it was just a YES away from revealing itself!!!
What CHANCES are hiding around you? Leave your comfort zone and find out

(P)rayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunities you bring my way everyday, i have not been taking full advantage of them like you expect me to, but i thank You for the revelation you've given me this morning and i ask that you open my eyes to spot them, i ask for the wisdom and courage to grab them immediately. I rebuke every spirit of fear, and i declare an end to my comfort zone today. I pray for everyone reading this, i ask that you open their eyes, help us to be more like you, to treat people the way you would, to see them as an extension of who you are, so we can love them the way you would in Jesus Name!!!
